Smeeta S. Rishi

Smeeta graduated with Honors from the Ohio State University College of Law where she was a member of the law review, and from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Planning and Administration and a Minor in Economics.
Smeeta has practiced law in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of general business and healthcare law. Prior to starting her own firm, Smeeta practiced with Pacific West Law Group, a law firm representing healthcare providers, and Morgan, Miller & Blair, an East Bay mid -sized law firm representing a wide variety of general business and healthcare
providers.

Smeeta has authored a number of articles written for other lawyers. These include the following:

Smeeta has also held leadership positions in the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, including Chairman of the Health Law Committee and liaison to the Special Committee on Bio-Ethics. Smeeta has also co-chaired and made presentations at numerous professional education programs. Smeeta has spoken at the annual meeting of the American Dermatology Association on compliance and managed care issues and to fellows at Stanford and UC San
Francisco on employment agreements and partnership arrangements.
Smeeta is a current member of the American Health Lawyers Association and California Society of Healthcare Attorneys.
